News Release: Schoenstatt Fathers move to Madison, WI on July 1st

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

We’re excited to share with you a new opportunity we have received to serve God’s people. The Schoenstatt Fathers will assume administration of Blessed Sacrament parish in Madison, Wisconsin beginning on July 1st, 2024, in agreement with the Diocese of Madison. We’re humbled to continue the mission of the Dominican Fathers who have served for over 100 years at Blessed Sacrament parish. We thank Bishop Hying for his trust in our Community.

The rectory at Blessed Sacrament will be the new community filiation house, and the Schoenstatt Fathers’ house in Waukesha will continue to be an official residence and will serve as a base for pastoral work and apostolic initiatives in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, functioning under the name Joseph’s Place.

Fr. Mark Niehaus will be the parish administrator of Blessed Sacrament and will be joined by Fr. Cristobal Asenjo and a soon to be determined third priest of the Schoenstatt Fathers.

We count on your continued support and prayers as we seek to be faithful to our Covenant of Love with our Blessed Mother.

In Christ with Mary,
Fr. Michael and the Schoenstatt Fathers
